The Food and Wine Celebration

The 8th annual Veggie U fundraiser, The Food and Wine Celebration, takes place on July 17 from 5 till 9 p.m., at the Culinary Vegetable Institute, 12304 S.R. 13, in Milan, OH. This organization is associated with The Chef’s Garden, whose owners, Lee and Bob Jones, were ECC presenters in 2007.

The mission of Veggie U is to promote the well-being of children through a healthy lifestyle. Veggie U is dedicated to the creation and distribution of curricula nationally, with a focus on making wise food choices, combating adolescent and juvenile disease, and attaining an understanding of sustainable agriculture.

What better way to generate excitement and raise funds for the Veggie U children’s nutrition program than to throw one heck of a party with more than 30 top chefs providing the food! As you enjoy cooking demonstrations, wine classes and an exclusive silent auction at the Grand Tasting you can mingle with the chefs during special pre- and post-events. You’ll be helping Veggie U instill the importance of sustainable agriculture by giving kids the opportunity to grow their own foods and teaching them about making wise food choices.
